Another Year - Poetry
In the dawnbreak stillness
Two steps past dew lights fading
She wonders at the First Born’s kindness
And at the world’s parading
What will become of mice and men?
Why does an inch of growth take years?
Who will remember unsaid longings?
Who’s close enough to wipe these tears?
Another year, somewhere past noon
And in the quiet breathing
It’s Grace that fills the largest wounds
And brings us back to being.

melissa @ 10:34 pm:
I want to thank you for this book. First off, i don’t usually read fiction, but a friend in church recommended it, and said she was reading it for the third time, and it was so amazing, i just had to read it. It piqued my interest, and so i went to Amazon and bought a copy. At first i wasn’t really interested, and thought, well what could a non-fiction book teach me about my relationship with Jesus? It took discipline to get through the first few chapters, in fact, i was well into the fifth chapter before i really began to be intrigued to reading further. From there, i hung onto every word uttered by Papa, Jesus and Sarayu, shed many tears, and had many confirmations of the presence and the great wastefulness of grace.
One day a couple of years back, i thought in my mind’s eye, or had a vision, i am not sure. I was standing by the edge of a lake where i grew up, and Jesus was standing next to me, Papa was and the wind of the Spirit was gently caressing my face in the sunshine, and Jesus said to me, “remember this time, whenever you need to, and it will bring you back instantly to this time.” It was as real to me as anything i have ever experienced, and it continues to be a source of joy to me. Your book has done the same; it will speak to my heart over and over, and for that, i give you my gratitude. Please don’t feel you have to respond to this, i only wanted to say thank you.
Melissa.
